AC Slater, hailing from Philadelphia in the USA, has recently become one of the biggest American hardcore and freeform DJs. AC started spinning records in 1994, playing at raves in 1998 and in 2001 started the Pitched Up label, as an outlet for American hardcore music. The first three releases were happy hardcore orientated, but the last two releases focus on the harder, rougher side of the music, influenced by prodcuers such as Sharkey, Marc Smith, Jon Doe and Devastate. Pitched Up decided to leave the vinyl format and is currently planning a label relaunch with a full CD album and MP3/merchandise store.
AC has played at all of the major American raves and has established himself as one of the top North Americn hardcore producers, as well as one of the most forward thinking hardcore producers out there today.
