Information / Review: In the fickle and fast-paced world of hip-hop, the word legend might not always convey what it should. But all hail the Jungle Brothers - true legends and the first rappers to record with a house music producer, the first hip-hop act to make a single extolling the virtues of safe sex and first rap group to hitch up with the burgeoning UK drum 'n' bass scene. In jungle circles Urban Takeover's remix of 'Jungle Brother' is rightly hailed as a groundbreaking classic of its time. A killer mix which is guaranteed to rock even the most conservative of dancefloors. It's pure adrenalin on a slab of vinyl. Natural Born chillers followed their Top 10 chart entry 'Rock The Funky Beats' with their take on another JB classic, 'Brain'. The result was a jump up dancefloor anthem. 'See Thru It' is taken from Aphrodite's 2002 album 'Aftershock'. Drum & bass legend Peshay injects a subtle dose of his trademark disco-house sound and meaty beats to irresistible effects. Finally Jaimeson's Top 5 smash hit 'Complete' gets the remix treatment from current drum & bass don Danny Fresh (of Bad Company fame) who turns out a firing remix which gives Jaimeson his turn on the mic, alongside MC's Skibadee and Viper. All these remixes have been unavailable for long periods and are re-issued courtesy of Simply Vinyl.
